Mechanical engineers Igor Silveira and Eymard Barroso, founders of Melvin, have vast experience in the universe of industrial maintenance management. The duo has been working together for some time now, having had the opportunity to work together previously.
It was in these experiences that the entrepreneurs had a great idea. From there, Igor and Eymard saw an opportunity to go beyond, to take the program to industries of different segments. With this, they took the lead in the startup. However, they did not limit themselves to helping industries, they aimed to make users’ lives simpler. “We realized the pain of industries to have production stopped by unexpected equipment failure. We also saw users’ difficulties in dealing with overly complicated software. Thus, we had the idea of ​​developing something simple, intuitive and easy to access. In addition, we noticed that until then, small and medium-sized companies did not have this access. So we opted to create something economically viable,” they explain.
After much dedication and persistence, in 2020, they took first place in the Raja Valley acceleration program (one of BH’s main innovation centers) and were able to invest so that Melvin could come to life and materialize everything that the duo imagined. The software works as a great mentor, guiding those involved towards proper management. The success was such that they conquered important companies, such as Baccio di Latte, Latam Airlines, and Hinode. In this way, the engineers remain very optimistic and on the path to soar even higher. “We grew more than 500% in 2021, compared to the previous year. We are able to help all types of companies, from transformation industries to franchises. This is because it is software developed by Maintenance Engineers who have felt the user’s difficulties for more than 17 years,” they conclude.
